And Breathe

Hey friend,

How are you?
I had hopes of showing up more on the old ‘socials’ and building my online community…

But my half term week off was spent mostly feeling unwell and now we are back into the work/school run/school trip malarkey and I’ve not done much.

But you know what?
That’s ok.

I’m learning to have grace for myself, day by day, I get a little more bendy, and go with the random things that come along.

And you, be gentle with yourself. New things are hard, and the expectations we place on our own shoulders are far too heavy.

Feel the feelings. Maybe it’s a little disappointment, or you feel like you let someone or yourself down.
Maybe you didn’t meet some target you set for yourself.

Feel the feelings, but don’t let them get comfortable. Then take breath and release it all.

You are doing amazing things everyday.
Focus on those small wins. Take note of every step forward no matter how small, and before you know it, you’ll suddenly be further along than you expected.

Most journeys are made by taking one step at a time, one day at a time.

Try not to be your own biggest critic, but be your kindest friend. Tomorrow is a new day, and there is grace for you in this one.

You got this, I believe in you.
When you’ve got an encouraging community around you (no matter how small), life is better when you go together.
